Purpose in Each Season

Wonderful conversations with my niece over tea, sharing grief and broken dreams remind me of the deep truth about seasons.  As Fall finally emerges it brings with it a glowing, colorful, richly spiced reminder that even death can be beautiful. We can know this and hold to this hope because we believe that roots run deep and alive under those barren branches—stripped now, but preparing for a glorious, green resurrection.

We can find the golden beauty and hear it whispering over times of passing, saying “Life wins!” “Wait quietly and expectantly through this winter of yours, because we are reborn!” Again and again.  The story of resurrection endures!

Bring forth your colors and exhale your white cold winter, because you (and we) dear child, will breathe and bloom again come spring.
